Victorian nickel Doctors door knocker, this reproduction is based on an antique original so has all the correct sizes and proportions but with a more contemporary nickel finish. The style is often referred to as the Doctor's as it was a common piece of period front door furniture on the Doctor's house. We refer to is as Victorian but it was also a popular style in the Edwardian period, 1920's and 1930's. The polished nickel is unlacquered so it will tarnish and age down a bit, easily polished with a nickel/chrome cleaner.
